OBITUARY

Angel Rose Bruce

July 16, 1947December 9, 2012

Angel was born in Palo Alto, California on July 16, 1947 and passed away in Auburn, California on December 9, 2012. She was married to her loving husband Bill Bruce for 42 years. Angel lived her life with a smile. She loved meeting new people and made friends wherever she went. Once her children were grown she started working and always made the workplace fun for everyone around her. After leaving Gottschalks for retirement, Angel was completely devoted to her husband Bill, sons Jason and Josh and her grandchildren, Haden, Hannah and Liliana Bruce. Many of her days were spent playing games with her family and watching Dancing with the Stars with her granddaughters. Her weekends were spent rooting on her granddaughters in their soccer games, and her grandson in football and lacrosse. She was at every event her family was involved in, and was always their biggest fan. Angel was the most warm and loving person to anyone that was fortunate enough to meet or know her. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, an ear to listen, or a shoulder to cry on. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Angel is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Nina Camilleri, and her brothers Frank and Joseph Camilleri. She is survived by her loving husband Bill Bruce, sons, Jason and Josh Bruce, daughter-in-law Sheri Bruce, three grandchildren, Haden, Hannah and Liliana Bruce, her sister- in-law Norma Camilleri, and many nieces and nephews.

At the family’s request, a celebration of Angel’s life will be held after the holidays. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society.

My dear friend, Angel. Your passing from this life has saddened me beyond reason. There was no time to say "good-bye" & prepare, if I ever could. My heart is so broken that we will never talk again about our families & fun times we shared. I'm feeling your loss to be so surreal, and that it didn't really happen. The memorial was so beautiful & you were so loved by everyone who knew you. I will keep you, Bill, Jason, Josh & his family in my thoughts & prayers now & always.

Angel was such a big part of my life as a boy. My heart sank to hear that she passed, but there is comfort in knowing that she was so loved by her family, and will live on with all of us in that way. These words come to mind...

Here come the blue skies,
Here comes springtime.
When the rivers run high & the tears run dry.
When everything that dies shall rise.
Love is stronger than death.

My family and I had the pleasure of meeting Angle a few times and my memory is that she was a very warm and welcome person and it was very apparent her love for her Family. We are sorry for your loss.
