Arthur Edward Fleming

He is survived by his son Edward Fleming of Foresthill; grandchildren Alan Fleming and Erin Hunt of Foresthill, Christina Gledhill of Corona and Larry Fleming of Laguna Hills; and 10 great grandchildren: Emily, Shannon and Sean Fleming and Nathan, Grace, William and Silas Hunt of Foresthill; Tara and Ashley Gledhill of Corona; and Larry Fleming of Laguna Hills. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Trudy and son, Ronald.

Mr. Fleming graduated from Eagle Rock High School and the University of California, Berkeley, with a degree in mechanical engineering. During WWII, he was an engineer officer on the USS Plunkett, saw service on D-Day, on the Mediterranean and in the Aleutians. At war’s end, he returned to his position with C. F. Braun, before becoming a factory rep for Fisher-Governor where he was twice awarded sales engineer of the year. He was a devoted husband and father, an avid golfer and a devotee of classical music.
