

Clarence Bothello passed away in his sleep at his home on Sunday, July 17, 2022 in Auburn, CA. Clarence was born in Auburn, California at home to John and Edwina Bothello on April 25, 1931. He graduated from Auburn Elementary and Placer High School, where he was a member of the Future Farmers of America (FFA).
Clarence married his wife, Alice, on September 12, 1953. They made their home on the family property and they were married nearly 68 years when Alice passed away.
Clarence was an agriculturist, managing a fruit orchard, a Christmas Tree farm and later a vineyard. By profession, he was a carpenter, and a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters.
Clarence was active in St. Joseph Catholic Church as a Eucharistic Minister. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus for many years and received the honor of the Fourth Degree in 2002 and served as the Color Corps Commander. He was a member of the local Portuguese fraternal organizations I.D.E.S. and U.P.P.E.C., and he was a member of the Auburn Elks Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Edwina Bothello, his brother Eugene and his wife Alice (Braz) Bothello. He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Bothello (Rodney Palmer), granddaughter Mikayla Palmer, brother Jerry Bothello (Delores), sister, Joyce House (Phillip) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins whom he cherished.
A Rosary will be held at the Chapel of the Hills on Monday, August 8 at 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 9, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to:
