Diane Jean Lippert 4/9/1943 - 7/9/2014

We lost a great wife, mom, sister, grandma, and friend on July 9, 2014. Diane is survived by her husband Don Lippert of 51 years, daughter Susan Lippert Kane and husband Tom of Meadow Vista, CA, son Dave Lippert and wife Kelly of La Quinta, CA, sister Michele Yourk of Glendale AZ, brother Douglas Bothun of Reno, NV, grandchildren Tanner and Spencer Kane, Haley and James Glenn, and her dog Missy. She was born in Berkeley, CA and was the first graduating class from Clayton Valley High School in Concord, CA. In 1962, she met Don, the love of her life, and they were married on December 16, 1962. They lived in Pleasant Hill, CA for 27 years until moving to Auburn, CA in 1989. She loved animals and spent over twenty years working as an office manager for Veterinarian Clinics in Alamo and Granite Bay, CA. She also spent countless hours volunteering at the Contra Costa Animal Shelter and also volunteered at the Auburn Senior Center after retiring. Diane loved camping and boating with family and friends, playing scrabble, and spending the winters down south in her motor coach. A private celebration of her life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers please make donation to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation or to your local Animal Rescue Foundation.

Dear Diane..you were my "other-mom" for many years..You always took care of others and asked nothing in return-you were the classiest woman i knew-you raised 2 AMAZING kids, and loved your husband with everything you had. Your love for animals was infectious-
You were the BEST cook, and others loved eating from your kitchen!! A grandma who adored her grandkids...and made a difference in their lives..you will never be forgotten-always be remembered with a smile and a kind word to share..missing you...with love and sorrow-Francine Pickett-Bauer..You are one of a kind my lady!!
