Dino A. Landi, age 65, passed away on November 15, 2021 after fighting a long illness.
Dino was born on August 21, 1956 in Paso Robles, CA, and also lived in Daly City before moving to Auburn in 1971. He graduated from Placer High School in 1974, and worked many years for Auburn-Placer Disposal. He then attended business college, and went to work for Rural California Housing in Sacramento as a purchasing agent, and later joined the family business, C & L Disposal in Roseville. In his later years, he followed his passion and became a chef.
Dino was very involved with Maidu Little League and coached his two sons, Jerrod and Vince, for many years. He loved NASCAR, 49ers football, Giants baseball, and especially fishing.
Dino was preceded in death by his mother, Arlette Frye, and his brother, Mario Landi. He is survived by his two sons, Jerrod Landi and Vincent Landi, his companion Linda Parel, his father and stepmother, Leo and Mary Ann Landi, stepfather Dale Frye and his wife Jackie Frye as well as his step-brothers Karl Frye and his wife Lisa, and Dale Frye Jr. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Lou Anne Landi, and nieces Dina Landi with her partner in crime Geoffrey Alan Gray, Danette Warren, and Megan Maytum with husband Justin Maytum.
We will miss Dino’s wonderful sense of humor and willingness to always help a friend. There will be a Celebration of Life service on January 29, 2022, at The Ridge Golf Course, 2020 Golf Course Road, Auburn, CA 95602 from 12:00pm-4:00pm.
