George Fredrick Nordman

George F. Nordman lost his battle with esophageal cancer on October 28, 2010. It was almost 3 months to the day from when he was diagnosed. George was born April 3, 1957 to Delores and George Nordman in Oakland, CA. He was raised in San Lorenzo. After high school George enlisted in the United States Navy serving most of his 4 years on the USS Sacramento. He proudly served his country and received an Honorable Discharge in 1982. George worked in the Bay Area on airless spray equipment for over 25 years. When George married his present wife, Eileen they made the Auburn/Grass Valley area their home. George opened his business, George's Airless Repair. George loved fishing and camping. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and a volunteer for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. George is survived by his wife, Eileen; his sons, George Jr. and James Joseph; his 3 stepsons, 2 sisters along with nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 5, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Chapel of the Hills, 1331 Lincoln Way, Auburn. He will be cremated and laid to rest in the New Auburn Cemetery.
