Geraldine "Weenie" Silvera Thomas passed away peacefully at her ome in Newcastle, California on September 28, 2023 at the age of 97 years young. Weenie is also survived by her 3 children Terry and Bert Dudgeon of Newcastle, California, Larry Thomas of Reno, Nevada, and Gary and Lorraine Thomas of Rocklin, California. Weenie is also survived by 6 granddaughters, 8 grandsons, and 2 great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard "Richie" Thomas, and her daughter-in-law Debbie Thomas.
Weenie was born July 13, 1926 and raised in Sunnyvale, California. She married her lifelong love Richard "Richie" Thomas on December 8,1945. They were married 69 years until Richie's passing in 2014. Together they raised their three children in Sunnyvale, California. Weenie worked various jobs over the years. Libby's Cannery, Levi Strauss, Kodak, as well as helping on the Silvera Family Orchards, but her greatest joy was cooking for her family and looking after her nieces, nephews, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In 1981 Weenie and Richie retired to Auburn, California. Weenie was involved in the Portuguese American club, the Red Hat Society, traveled often in their motorthome, and helped raise their granddaughter's.
