

Harvey Horace Marshall passed away at the age of 92 in his home in Auburn, California on March 13, 2026. He passed away peacefully with his son, Stan, by his side after coming in from gardening on a beautiful day. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother to 6 brothers and 4 sisters, and friends.
Harvey was born on May 24, 1933, in Eddyville, Kentucky to Beulah Cox Marshall and Rolard S. Marshall, both in Indiana.
Harvey was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Sharon Gentry Marshall. He is survived by his four children, Rebecca Marshall Rampy of Raleigh NC, Stan Marshall of Morganfield, KY, Kevin Marshall and his wife Eva of Loomis, CA and Victor Marshall of Apache Junction, AZ. He is survived by 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Many around Eddyville, KY knew Harvey as Jack. In 1952, Harvey married Sharon of Evansville, Indiana. Harvey enlisted in the Marines, where he was stationed at Camp Lejeune Marine Base in Jacksonville, North Carolina as an artillery instructor.
After his discharge, Harvey, Sharon and their two oldest children returned to Evansville, Indiana where they added two more children to the family. He started working for Seat Cover Charlie, in auto upholstery, which became his lifelong profession. He started his first business in Boonville, Indiana.
Harvey and Sharon moved to Henderson, Kentucky in 1960, where he opened the Henderson Trim Shop. While raising his children, he also helped care for his sisters after their mother’s passing.
In 1969 they moved to the San Jose, California area. Harvey continued working as an upholsterer. He established a couple of business locations which he gave to two of his brothers, starting them in their own businesses. He also taught his three sons the trade.
Harvey and Sharon were members of Louella Baptist Church in Campbell, California. Harvey was a long-time student of the Bible, learning from his church leaders and studying through the teaching of John MacArthur.
Harvey and Sharon moved to Winter Haven, Florida in 1982 to assist Sharon’s parents. They were members of Grace Baptist Church where Harvey was a Deacon. While in Florida, Harvey worked until retirement for the Florida Department of Corrections as an upholstery instructor. During this time, he also was actively teaching at various churches about spiritual counterfeits.
In 2002, they returned to California, settling in Auburn, where he lived until his passing. They were members of Grace Bible Church of Auburn, and attended Faith Bible Church of Citrus Heights, California. At the time of his death, he was blessed to have many friends at Bell Road Baptist Church in Auburn.
Harvey loved gardening and over the years spent many hours growing flowers for Sharon and growing food to share with neighbors in Rock Creek Mobile Home Park and his church Friends. Harvey had deep faith in our Lord and was confident in his future home. Harvey’s life was centered on God, family and country
