Irvin Daniel Clark passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Monday, March 21, 2022 at the age of 80 in Newcastle, California after a courageous battle against lung cancer. Irvin was born on June 19, 1941 in San Bernardino, California to Dee and Lorene Clark. Irvin graduated from Colton Union High School in 1959 and soon after enlisted in the United States Air Force where he proudly served four years as an Airman and two years as a Reservist. During this time, Irvin had a chance encounter at the Eat & Run in Sacramento with a familiar admirer, Kathleen Aleo, a friend of his sister’s from Southern California. From this day forward the two were an item and Irvin and Kathleen were married on June 30, 1962, forging a lifetime of love and commitment. Irvin was a self-made, well-respected and hard-working man. He spent most of his professional career at The Procter & Gamble Manufacturing Company in Sacramento where he worked for 33 years. He started out sweeping floors and worked his way up to a distillation operator. One of Irvin’s career highlights was spending several months overseas as part of the set-up team to open a new P&G plant in Kuantan, Malaysia. Irvin enjoyed sports and spent a lot of time at the ball field, watching or coaching his children and grandchildren in youth softball, football and soccer. In retirement you would often find Irvin outside in the pasture of his property, on the mower or tractor, taking care of four acres of land. Irvin embodied the role of Mr. Fix It, armed with a garage full of tools and an abundant supply of electrical tape, he loved to tinker. He was extremely passionate about genealogy and spent years collecting family data, both online and through his travels to other states, to ensure those records would live on forever for future generations to see. Irvin leaves a remarkable legacy as the patriarch of a family of four children, nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Irvin was preceded in death by his daughter Julie Clark; parents Dee and Lorene Clark; sisters Maxine Vick, Christine Justice, and Shirley Baker. Irvin is survived by his wife of 59 years, Kathleen Clark; daughters Lisa Flowers (Todd) and Stacey Haney (Mark); son Anthony Clark (Helen); grandchildren Melissa Mount (AJ), Ashley Haney (Nate), Marcus Haney, Michael Flowers (Lauren), Andrew Fender, Austin Flowers (Morgan), Rachel Rodriguez (Andre), Masen Flowers and Jameson Clark; great-grandchildren Riley Garcia, Rubi Mendoza, Alexandra Mount, Aiden Fender, Hunter Haney, Rocco Garcia, Isaac Mendoza, Reagan Mount, Declan Flowers, Savannah Mount, Grayson Flowers, Dax Flowers and Julien Rodriguez; and brother LD Clark.
