Born on November 6, 1940, in Texas, Babe was the daughter of Pete and Dixie Watkins. Shortly after her birth, the family moved to California and settled in Manteca, where she spent her early years with her parents and sister, Delores Wolf. The family later relocated to Sunnyvale, where Babe attended Fremont High School. It was there that she met the love of her life, Ralph Saich. The couple married on March 17, 1963, beginning a lifelong partnership filled with devotion, laughter, and love.
Family was the heart of Babe’s life. She found her greatest joy in time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, always willing to help and happiest when preparing meals for those she loved. Her warmth, humor, and generosity touched everyone who knew her. She and Ralph enjoyed hosting family and friends at their homes in Saratoga and Morgan Hill, where they created countless treasured memories together.
Babe is survived by her daughter, Deborah Saich Dinato, and her son, Anton Paul Saich. She was a proud grandmother to Shaun Krilanovich, Kimberly Chellino, Anton Paul Saich III, Haley Saich, and Adam Saich, and a cherished great-grandmother to Talon, Drake, and Riley Krilanovich, and Stella and Lilly Chellino.
Babe’s journey ended on October 20, 2025. She now joins her parents Pete and Dixie Watkins, her sister Delores Wolf, and her husband Ralph Saich. She passed peacefully, surrounded by family, and her legacy will live on through the love she gave and the family she nurtured.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on November 6, 2025—what would have been her 85th birthday—at Darling Fischer Chapel of the Hills in Los Gatos. A reception will follow, where family and friends are invited to gather and share their memories of Babe. A private burial will take place later in the day at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband, Ralph.
