I am sad to announce that in the early hours of March 22nd, Jeff Bryan ended his adventure on earth to move on to his next adventure. Everyone who knew him knows this world is a sadder place without him but whatever is next will be enriched to have him part of it.
No one could live life like Jeff did, even when golf was no longer possible, so ever competitive, poker took its place, even winning a poker tournament in Reno. (By the way, he had 4 holes in one in his golfing days.)
He was a natural leader and at one time or another belonged to pretty much every local club and association, being the proudest at being accepted in the Auburn Fire Department as an Honorary Member.
Jeff was born and raised here in Auburn. He attended the local schools and Floral School in Denver, Colorado. He was the owner of Bryan’s Auburn Florist until retirement in 2005.
Jeff is survived by his wife Jeannie of 33 years, children Lisa Candiloro (John) of Pleasanton, Scott Bryan (Julie) of Foresthill, and Jeffery Bryan of Lincoln, sisters Patricia George of Berkeley and Linda Sewell (Jon) of Lake Oswego, Oregon, 4 special grandchildren; Alexa Bryan, Dominic Candiloro, Nina Candiloro and Cole Bryan, his mother Florence Bryan and many dear family members and friends.
There will be a private graveside service at the New Auburn Cemetery. A Celebration of Jeff’s Life will take place at the Martin Park Fire Station on 485 High Street, Auburn CA at 11:30am.
Jeff would be honored to have donations in his name given to the Auburn Fire Department.
