Jack was born January 13, 1938 to William and Gwendolyn Moskewich in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. In his youth, his family moved to Southern California for work, which he recalled as a very long drive. With his mother's permission, he joined the United States Air Force at the age of 17 and served most of his time in Virginia. He was honorably discharged after four years and returned to Southern California to marry his sweetheart Sandra Jean Williams. They lived in Huntington Beach where they raised their three children.
Jack was a born salesman, he had such a knack for knowing the value of any item. Prior to marrying Sandy he began working at her father's pawnshop where he was a natural and after only a few shifts he was trusted to run the shop on his own. He had found his calling and in 1960 bought Norwalk Jewelry and Loan from his father-in-law. After many years as a successful businessman, he and his family relocated to Lake of the Pines and reopened their shop as Auburn Jewelry and Loan with his son-in-law Ron Solomon. In 2008, he sold the shop to Ron and retired knowing it was in good hands. Even after retirement Jack enjoyed stopping by the shop to visit and make a deal.
Jack and Sandy celebrated 54 years of marriage before Sandy passed away in 2014. Soon after, Jack moved to Visalia, from there he enjoyed going to the desert where he had a place on a golf course. In 2020, he moved to Roseville to be back near family and friends. When Jack wasn't working he enjoyed being on the water, owning several boats while living in Huntington Beach and loved taking his family and friends out boating or fishing. His favorite pastime though was golf, often playing 4-5 times a week in his later years. He played many courses, with many teams and won lots of tournaments and even shot 2 hole in ones over the years. Jack had a big personality and people were drawn to his entertaining stories and quick sense of humor.
Jack loved his family and spending time with them very much. He was blessed to have five grandchildren and was excited that a great grandson was on the way. Jack was preceded in death by his wife Sandy Moskewich, daughter Debbie Solomon, daughter Stacey Moskewich, and son David Moskewich. He is survived by his son-in-law Ron Solomon (Tammy), grandson Thomas Solomon, granddaughters Cindy Bernal (Nick), Kaitlyn Solomon, Madison Moskewich and Millie Moskewich and nephews Steve and Scott Perry.
