

Linda “Cervantes” Dickson passed away peacefully at her Foresthill home on September 3, 2015 after a 7 year battle with cancer. Linda was born and raised in Roseville and graduated from Roseville High School in 1974. She continued her education at Sierra College receiving her AA in 1976. Linda had a passion for books and her first job was at the Roseville Public Library. At the library she loved story hour, where she would read books to children, an experience she talked about for the rest of her life. She quit work to raise her family of four children moving to Foresthill in 1992. She returned to work as a teachers aid for the Foresthill Middle School until all her children had moved on to High School. After her children graduated, she worked and volunteered for Auburn Spay and Neuter Clinic until she was unable, due to her failing health. She was very active in her LDS faith serving in many capacities. Teaching early morning Seminary to the youth was the calling she loved most.
Above all things Linda was a wife, mother and grandmother and was known as “Queen Grammee” to all eight of her grandchildren. There were few weekends when her home didn’t have at least two grandchildren there being spoiled.
Linda is survived by her husband of 31 years Kevin, children; Steven, Rose, Katelyn and Bryan, grandchildren; Brittney, Anjela, Mack, Crystal, Stuart, Stanly, Daniel, Ashley, and finally Sarah due to be born any day now, as well as her sisters; Irene and Melodey.
A “Celebration of Life” has been scheduled for 10:00am,September 19, 2015 at the LDS church located at 6460 Cavitt Stallman Rd, Granite Bay, 95746.
