Born at Fort Worth, TX on July 29, 1938 to now deceased George Alfred Magoffin, JR. and Virginia Evelyn Brush the family moved to Grand Junction, CO just after World War II. After completing her college degree at Western State University, Gunnison, CO Linda married her high school sweetheart, John Richard Wells Jr. on November 24, 1961. Linda taught high school at Grand Junction until her new husband volunteered to serve in the U.S. Army.
Linda soon became an Army wife of 2d Lt Wells with all three of their children born in Army hospitals. Brad Wells (Karen) and Rebecca Wells at Fort Benning, GA and Kyleen Wells Dawson at Wurzberg, Germany. The late Major John Wells served two tours in Viet Nam.
Married again at Fort Benning, GA in August 1975 to Captain George J. Robinson, the family moved to Sacramento, CA to follow her new husband's military career. Adding George's three children, Gregory, Bryon (Elle) and Traci created what Linda called "Her Brady Bunch". Continuing her career as an educator, Linda accepted a position at Highlands High School in 1977 and subsequently taught at Grant High School, Norte Del Rio High School and finished her 35 years of teaching in 1993 at Rio Linda High School. English, Science, Drama and Yearbook were her favorite subjects.
An avid reader of literature during her 23 year retirement, she traveled in search of ancient American Indian rock art and photographed thousands of beautiful things. She printed every picture she ever took, and as a distant relative of Mary Cassatt, sketched and painted.
Linda loved her Grand Junction younger brother, Donald Magoffin (Susan), and chased the numerous grand children and nieces. She called her children almost every day to ensure that they were safe and never gave up on training her husband.
