Milt passed away from complications of heart disease on April 30, 2014 in Folsom, CA at the age of 93. He was born in Wyandotte, MI and is predeceased by brothers James and Alfred. He and his wife Edna were
long-time residents of Auburn
before recently moving to
Folsom to be closer to family.
Milt was a WW II veteran serving
in the U.S. Navy as an Aviation
Metalsmith, First Class.
After the war, he joined the
Oakland, CA fire department
retiring as Captain after 25 years
of service. While living in Auburn,
Milt worked for local car and RV
dealerships and later owned and
operated a mobile RV appliance
repair business. He taught Basic
Fire Fighting for Sierra College at
various volunteer fire stations.
For nearly 39 years, Milt and Edna
were active members of the
Placer Hills Community United
Methodist Church. He had many interests, with fishing being his favorite. He enjoyed attending
SIRs functions which included
their fishing club, the Rooster Tails.
Milt will be remembered as a caring,
helpful, loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and great-uncle.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Milt’s life on Saturday, June 7, 2014, 11:00 a.m., at the Placer Hills Community United Methodist Church, 17250 Placer Hills Road, Meadow Vista. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the church or charity of your choice.
