Nancy was born in San Francisco, CA and grew up in Blue Canyon with her sister Barbara. She attended both Blue Canyon school and Mount Saint Mary's Acadamy in Grass Valley, CA. After high school, she married Hensel Longnecker and settled down in Alta.
Nancy enjoyed music, reading, and learning the history of the Sierra Nevada's. She volunteered in the community for decades. She truly cared about people of all ages.
Nancy is survived by her sister: Barbara Campbell, her children: Susan Bagley (Craig), Barbara Propes, Denis Longnecker (Brenda), and Jennifer Longnecker-Hanley, and her 12 grandchildren, and her 24 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Hensel, and her two sons: Patrick, and Russell.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 18th, 2025 from noon to 4pm at the Alta Community Firehouse in Alta, CA.
