Priscilla was born and raised in Des Moines, Iowa. She attended Ames University majoring in home economics. She met George Schreiber in Chicago and married in 1940. After WWII they moved to California and they divorced in 1951. Priscilla raised four children on her own with her own salary as a secretary. She was a very strong and independent woman. She moved to Auburn with her daughter’s family to join her son, that was already established in the area, in 1989.
She was involved with Calvary Chapel of Auburn for 18 years with whom she had several dear friends. She had a long happy life and most of her family lived near her.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Kristine Caple six years ago, and her sister, Caroline Prugh 16 years ago. She is survived by two sons; George Schreiber of Sherman Oaks, CA and Kurt Schreiber of Colfax, CA; and daughter Mary Schreiber of Foresthill, CA.
Priscilla will be dearly missed.
A graveside service will be held at the New Auburn Cemetery, Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 2pm.
