Rita T Picciano

1915 - 2010

Rita was born in Orange, New Jersey on October 22, 1915. She passed away in Lincoln, CA on August 31, 2010. She was 94. She was the oldest of 4 children and was very much loved. Her daddy called her "Puddin". Rita grew up with twin brothers George and William, and about 10 years later, along came sister Doreen. Rita graduated from Ossining High School in 1933 and married Michael Picciano in 1934. She had known Michael since she was 14. One year later, their first child Wayne Thomas Picciano was born. In 1937 she gave birth to her first daughter, Joanne Marie. In 1954, the whole Picciano family moved to Menlo Park,California and there daughter Teresa Michele was born. Rita was a homemaker, but also helped at the nursery schools. She made many friends. In 1971, Rita's husband passed away. After Michael died, Rita went back into the work force. One of Rita's favorite jobs was working for Garrett-Hewett as assistant to the accountant. In 1988 Rita moved to Rocklin, California. Rita has 5 grandchildren; Kurt, Kristi, Konni, Stephanie, Trevor and 9 great grandchildren; Corinn, Austin, Gabriella, Blake, Juliana, Bryden, Belemy and David. Rita was so proud of her family and loves them all so very much! She would want everyone in her family to know how very proud she is of you all!
