

In loving memory of Robert George Trocha born October 18, 1927 in Hoboken, New Jersey. He graduated from technical High School in Caldwell, New Jersey. Robert got his radio license and enjoyed talking to people from different places. He served his country in the Army during the Korean War (1950-1952) mostly in Presidio California responsible for radio. He returned to Mendem, New Jersey. He then served in the reserves until 1956. He met Clara A Rupp whom he married in 1956, they started their married life in Shreveport, Louisiana while working on Barksdale Air Force Base. There he became father to twins Pamela and Karen. The family returned to New Jersey where Robert still worked for Monroe Systems- Litton Industries. During this time son Robert was born. Robert moved his family to San Jose, where he worked for a small startup company Transaction Systems. Then Robert started working as a Production Engineer for Hewlet Packard in various departments with calculators then personal computers. Prior to retiring, he and Clara moved to Auburn in 1989.
He was proceeded in death by his wife Clara by almost 59 years and by his parents Max Richard and Martha (Meissner) Trocha. Sisters Elsie Warster (Donald) and Emma, brothers Richard and Herbert Trocha. Also sister in law Ruth (Rupp) and Jack O’Leary. Robert is survived by sister in law Dolly Trocha, Neice Jennifer and Nephews Jeffrey, David and Douglas. Nieces Lynn (Worster) Marsh Ruth Ann (O’Leary) Walsh (Bill) Step sister Margitta Trocha. Children Pamela Trocha, Karen (Trocha) Lamb, (Daniel) and Robert J Trocha. He has 4 grandchildren Kenneth Lamb, Melissaa Lamb, Caylin Trocha and Maddison Trocha.
Robert was always active. He always tried to help people. He liked to do puzzles and later Sudoku. He read the Bible and magazines about airplane consumer reports and health issues. He played the harmonica. He liked listening to classical music and watching tennis, golf, basketball and football. He liked to ski. From the 1970’s- 1980’s he often took the youth group on their weekend trips. Robert enjoyed other past times like tennis, hiking, camping and fishing. He rebuilt a car with his son and always worked on the families cars. Close to death he could still do dot and dash words till the end. He loved traveling and driving. Robert traveled across the country 4 time and traveled to Germany by ship as a child. For work he went to France and Singapore. As a family we visited Canada and Mexico, but his biggest achievement was getting his private pilot’s license and instrument rating. He loved to fly. The one constant in his life was his faith in God, his belief in his Saviors love and his knowledge he would see Gods face. He served his lord by leading Bible Studies at work, doing Sunday school, serving in various positions and maintenance in of Gods house. He looked forward to “Monday” night Callers for Christ witnessing Gods love for all. His favorite saying was, “God is the creator and finisher of my life.” In the last few years as his mind lost all of his abilities that he had been blessed with, he hung on to his faith. In the end he said clearly and confidently, “I am going to Heaven” with complete confidence. Though we miss Roberts’s earthly presence we find comfort in knowing Robert is in Heaven and we will see him again. Robert was taken to his Heavenly rest Tuesday evening October 19, 2021 Happy he had made his 94th birthday.
Memorial Services will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church Auburn Ca November 13, 2021 10 am. Burial will be at Restland Memorial Park Cemetery in East Hanover New Jersey. Same location he and his wife were married. They will rest with other family members. In Lou of flowers mail donations to Alzheimer’s Association or Breast Cancer Society.
