10/31/1949 - 03/17/2015
Ron,... always fun to be around, kept family and friends laughing as he found humor in the daily routine of our lives. He stayed connected with friends in his hometown of Corning New York, lived 10 years in Albuquerque, New Mexico, 44 years in the San Francisco Bay Area, and 3 years in Auburn, California.
From a very early age it became apparent he was a talented artist, something he enjoyed and shared with family, friends and co-workers throughout his life. Like most artists, Rons' works are now priceless for those who are fortunate to have and own his art.
Ron was a rock musician during the late 60’s and early 70’s; drummer and vocalist for 10 years, his first rock band in Albuquerque, then performing in lounges and hotels in upstate New York and professionally for 3 years in Northern California. He served during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army, enjoyed a long career in the automotive industry, and most of all he was so proud to be a loving father to his daughter Brooke.
He enjoyed and appreciated classic cars; restoration of his ‘67 Mustang completed during his final weeks. He kept busy with remodel projects at home, constantly designing, creating, building home improvement ‘this old house’ projects.
Ron along with family and friends participated last year in the American Cancer ‘Relay for Life’. He appreciated all who supported his team “Walking for the Coz” and was proud to be there all 24-hours, his team raising $4,000 for cancer research. He looked forward to participating again this year; his team is ready to “Walk for the Coz” again.
