Ruby Beatrice Sheffield

She was born April 21, 1919 in Kress Texas. She moved to CA with her husband and daughter in 1943. She worked for many years as a supervisor at Van de Kamp Bakeries.

The joys of her life have always been family and friends making sure that each and every one was her favorite. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, crocheting, ceramics and celebrating all occasions. Grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins through-out CA, New Mexico and Texas have enriched her life and she has touched their lives as well.

Mrs. Sheffield is survived by her daughter, Monna K. Ruskauff and son-in-law Ronald C. Ruskauff, Auburn, CA and their daughter, Susan Camacho, their sons, Scott Ruskauff and Kevin Ruskauff, including foster daughters, Lee Yoshikawa, Xuan Nguyen and many foster grandchildren. Great-grandchildren are Stephanie Hughes, Heather Solomon, Alex Yoshikawa, Ashleigh Yoshikawa, Trang Nguyen, Brian Nguyen, Anthony Nguyen, Timothy Camacho, Sabrina Ruskauff, Savana Ruskauff, Alyssa Yoshikawa, Aaron Yoshikawa and Joshua Ruskauff as well as many foster great-grandchildren. Her great-great grandchildren are: Madison Hughes, Anthony Solomon, Gavin Hughes and Vincent Solomon giving her the greatest joy of being a five generation family for the past four years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Elby Sheffield, grandson Tim Ruskauff and many precious loved ones.

A Memorial Mass will be at St Theresa’s of Avila in Auburn CA August 2, 2014 at 10:00 am. following burial beside her beloved husband in Santa Maria CA, August 8, 2014 at 1:30 p.m.
