Growing up as a child when I thought about my uncle Terry I thought about his love for Jeep's. I used to tell myself when I grew up I was going to buy a jeep just like my uncle. Then as I grew older when I thought of my uncle it was all about hunting and Harley's. I could have never asked for a better uncle than my uncle Terry. He truly loved his family and friends. When mom told him that my kids rooms didn't have ceiling fans he came down and installed them. The only payment he would allow me to give him was a turkey sandwich and a coke. I truly believe that you are looking out for all of us with grandma and grandpa. We love you and will see you again someday.

I was lucky enough to meet Terry when we were 10 years old and to remain friends for life.  He was always special and I would like to thank Linda for making him complete and giving him such love and happiness.  Until we are together again......

This is good bye for now to my baby brother Terry.  You have been a wonderful brother and was always there when I needed you.  You love your soul mate Linda and your kids and grandkids.  You loved riding your Harley with Linda and your friends and enjoyed your many very long trips together.  You fought so hard to stay with us but realized it was not going to happen and wanted Linda and I to be there with you at the end to say it was alright for you to go meet Mom and Dad and our other guardian angels to watch over us here.  If there are Harley's in heaven, and surly there must be, you are racing the wind on it now.  We will be seeing you sometime in the future.

Linda and family,
I am so sorry to hear of Terry's passing.
We grew up in Pilot Hill, went all through school being pals, walked to the bus stop, typical country kid stuff.  I have been thinking of him a lot lately but had no ideal he was ill.  I had hope of running into him this summer, now I guess that will have to wait a bit longer. What a pleasure it is to have known him. He was a special guy.

I worked with Terry at Gary C. Tanko Well Drilling. Terry was such a fun loving man who loved his family and friends with all his heart.  He will be missed by so many.  I loved listening to his stories and adventures.  He was a great man. Rest in peace my friend.  Linda my prayers are with you and your family.

Aunt Linda, Uncle Terry i truly believe was your soul mate.  the 2 of you from the start fit like a fine puzzle piece.  He is up in heaven looking down to you knowing that you are strong and fearless.  He knows you can handle what's ahead of you.
uncle terry loved all his family with true unconditional love. Bret , Buffy and. sheena rest assured knowing no matter what the case, he always had your back.  im sure there were rough days but it was only cause he loved you all so much and wanted what was best for you.
his grandchildren were his pride n joy.  his fun.  his laughter.  his joy.  he will miss you all.  but remember he is watching down on you also.
Uncle terry i will join you when i go home .  we will see one another again.  you were the best uncle.  no matter what i did i know you always loved me.  and you would always be there for me if i needed you.
im so glad you and aunt Linda moved back home.  cause i got to see you when ever i wanted.

Don and I have many wonderful memories with the T-Man and Linda. So many laughs and many great barbeques. We will think of him fondly and miss him deeply. He was a great guy who loved his family and lived his live to the fullest.

All of us here at Gary C. Tanko Well Drilling are deeply saddened by the tremendous loss of Terry Burkett.  As the office manager here, I always referred to him as the "perfect employee" as he worked hard every summer and then disappeared during our slow winter months off on one of his many hunting adventures.  He was a wonderful man who always made me smile and once let me sit in his "hot-rod" just for a laugh.  I feel blessed and enriched to have known such a great guy.  Our deepest sympathies during this very difficult time.
