Thomas Francis Butler III, 72, peacefully passed away on January 15, 2014 in his Roseville home. A native Californian, he was born and raised in San Francisco to Jeanne and Thomas Butler, Jr. on April 4, 1941.
Tom retired from the port of San Francisco after 27 years as their Carpentry Supervisor. Although he loved his work, nothing could keep him from his greatest passion, duck and pheasant hunting. His black lab, Tara, a trusted companion, was always at his side.
In 1985 Tom met the love of his life, Julie Fait, and married her on June 30, 1989. Tom was a devoted and loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Butler and children, Laura Saenz, Thomas Butler IV, Laura Ryan and Jess Ryan. Their families honored him with nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Meagan, Kelly, Kimberly, Thomas V, Jacob, Amber, Zachary, Caity, Jordan, Ellie and Zephyr.
Tom was respected and loved by family and friends and co-workers. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, serene spirit and love of life. Until we meet again Tom, we love you.
