THE EAGLE HAS LANDED
Vernon (Bud) Beadles passed away on January 25, 2024. He was 90 years old.
Bud was born on June 24, 1933, to Harry and Hilda Beadles in Huron, South Dakota. After graduating in 1951 from Lafayette High School in Red Lake Falls, Minnesota, he joined the United States Air Force. Bud became a pilot, retiring at the rank of lieutenant colonel after serving on active duty and in the Reserves for a total of 21 years. He then went on to fly for United Airlines, until his retirement as a captain at age 60. In the ensuing years, Bud was actively involved with his church and various clubs and organizations in the Auburn community, while also enjoying the company of his family and many friends. Bud had a wonderful, extraordinary life, filled with adventures near and far. He always made time to travel extensively…by planes, trains, automobiles…and his beloved motorhome.
Bud was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather. Coming from a family of six children, he had a large extended family that he cared for as well. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him, especially his wife, Laraine; and faithful dog, Cooper.
Through our sorrow, we celebrate his amazing life.
