Vernon Robert Lubovich

Vernon Robert Lubovich, age, 94, passed away peacefully at home on April 14, 2020 in Auburn, CA. Born in Ironton, MN on January 24, 1926 to Mike and Annie (Yaich) Lubovich. Vernon married Lucille Johnson on May 1, 1948 in Brainerd, and they later moved to California Vernon is survived by his wife of 72 years, Lucille, his daughter Linda Lubovich of San Jose, his son Michael and Debra Lubovich of Colfax, and grandsons Christopher and Hannah Lubovich and Ryan and Hidy Wardley and numerous treasured nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers Robert, Marco and Peter Lubovich and his sisters Margaret Burton, Millie O’Neil, Katherine (Dolly) Martin, Pauline Dandrea and Elizabeth Peterson Vernon attended Crosby-Ironton High School and served as a Corporal in World War 2. Before retiring from the Southern Pacific Railroad in 1987 and moving to Auburn, Vernon and Lucille raised their family in Sunnyvale, CA. Vernon enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards with family, trips to the local casinos and vacations in Minnesota to visit family. Services will be private.
