Alfed J. “Al” Soderberg, age 82, of Pontiac, October 30, 2015. Al will be missed by his children and extended family. He retired from General Motors as a skilled tradesman and worked as a medical office greeter at St. Joseph Medical office building for two years after his retirement; he enjoyed a good meal, especially at holiday gatherings; nature and wildlife in particular had a special place in his heart. He will be remembered for his wry sense of humor and joyous laugh. Al is survived by his ex-wife Donna; his five children: Edwin, Eric (Tracy), Jim (Elaina), Angela and Allison Soderberg; grandchildren: Edwin, Michael, Aaron (Minda), Carl, Eric, Hanna, Peter and Tony Soderberg; great grandchildren: Savanna, Michael and Eli and brother, Eric Sodereberg. Al was preceded in death by his parents Erland & Julia Soderberg, sisters; Dorothy Richmond and Ilene Auten and his brother Edwin Soderberg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Michigan Humane Society or Michigan Animal Rescue League.
