I loved both Ann and John. They were my neighbors across the street in N. Ft. Myers, and I watched over their house when they went "home" to Michigan in May. Ann had to be home by Mother's day every year.
Four neighboring couples went out to dinner at least once a month, having cocktails first at alternating houses. Everyone enjoyed their company. They were a fun couple, and completely devoted to one another.
I remember Ann walking their dog, Daisy, every morning at 8 o'clock. They enjoyed doing everything. They were generous to all with their time and concern, and enthusiastically involved in both church and the community in which they lived. I, along with a multitude of others, miss them tremendously.

John and Ann were my neighbors On Dyer Lake by Lake City, MI for many years and I was fortunate to get to know them both much better after I retired in 1998 and became able to spend more time at the cottage. Ann was gracious in often stopping by in her car if she saw me outside to chat, or extend an invitation to join them for dinner that night. So I was able to both enjoy a good meal cooked by Ann several times a year and be entertained and informed by John about car production and many things financial. Both of them are missed in their passing.

We have known the Duanes through square dance for many years. Called dances for them in Cadillac, MI and Herons Glen in North Fort Myers. Many fond memories of such a lovely couple. They will be missed.
