Born in White Cloud, Michigan on September 20, 1935, Betty was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She married Billy James Cook on October 17, 1953, and together they created a home filled with love, laughter, and enduring memories.
A proud homemaker, Betty dedicated her life to raising her family and creating a warm, welcoming home. Her talents in sewing, love of reading, and enthusiasm for bowling and bingo reflected her vibrant spirit and joy in life's simple pleasures. More than anything, Betty cherished time spent with her family.
Betty is survived by her beloved daughters: Barb (Randy) Lauinger, Dawn (the late Mark) Reimer, and Jenny (Donald) McClelland. She was a proud grandmother to Heather (Jason) Simpson, Lacy Coligan, Mason McClelland, and Jeremy (Nicci) McClelland. She is also an adored great grandmother to Emma Simpson, Syd Coligan, Nicholas Coligan, Joseph Coligan, and Gabriella McClelland.
Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home John Desmond Chapel, 3530 Auburn Rd., Auburn Hills, Michigan. A memorial Service will Sunday, June 29, at 1:00 p.m., at Pixley Funeral Home John Desmond Chapel.
Memorial contributions in Betty’s honor may be made to Michigan Palliative & Hospice Care or the ASPCA.
