Bill Neal Burton

Billy Neal Burton, 59, of Auburn Hills, Michigan, passed away Tuesday April 30, 2019.

Bill was born the son of Bernard and Doris (Scaggs) Burton in Ashland, Kentucky on May 11, 1959. He graduated high school in 1977 and moved to Auburn Hills to work for General Motors. Bill married Tammy Toman on July 6, 2001. He retired from General Motors in 2009 after 30 years of service at the Truck and Bus plant.

Bill loved to fish anywhere he could get a pole in the water. He was a caring, giving, unselfish man who would help anyone.

Bill is survived by his wife Tammy Burton; sister Vickie ( Pete) Grismer; nieces Amy Scarfos; nephews Joey and Tracy Johnson, and Christopher Grissmer; great nephew Skye Scarfos. He was predeceased by his parents Benard and Doris Burton, and sister Helen Johnson.

Bill's family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.

I AM SO SORRY TO HERE OF THIS ,HE WAS MY COUSIN ON MY DAD SIDE OF THE FAMILY.I ALWAYS LIKE BILLY AND WE GROWN UP TOGETHER .HE WAS AVERY GOOD PERSON AND HE WILL BE MISSED BY ME AND MY FAMILY .BILL WAS A HARD WORKER AND HE LOOKS JUST LIKE HIS DAD AND MY DAD . THANK YOU ,DIANA LYNN SCAGGS SARTIN.

I remember when Tammy met Bill and brought him a family wedding, Bill fit right into our family with his warm personality. Tammy, sending thoughts and prayers to you as Bill was well loved and will be dearly missed.

More than just a brother in law........a real friend. Someone that would give you the coat off of his back if you needed one.
I have many wonderful memories of the barbeques and the trips to Kentucky.
He loved his wife and family and I'm glad that he was a part of my family, he will be missed.

You will be missed dearly, Bill! Tammy, I'm so sorry for your loss....he was such a great, hardworking, loving man and husband! I looked up to Bill for the way he loved you and obviously for his pool table skills- Afterall, that's all i knew of him and that's all i needed to.. Take care- hope to see you soon Tammy!
