Brenda Lee Shetterley

Born on November 23, 1956, Brenda grew up in Twining, Michigan. She was a woman of dedication and strong work ethic, dedicating 30 years of service to General Motors before her well-deserved retirement in 2008.

Retirement only unlocked new passions for Brenda. She poured her creativity and love for nature into the earth, becoming a Master Gardener. Her yard was a reflection of her bright spirit, filled with multiple meticulously tended flower gardens and a thriving vegetable garden. She joyfully shared her green thumb with the community as a dedicated volunteer member of the garden club at Meadowbrook Hall. When she wasn't bringing beauty to life in the dirt, she was staying active and enjoying the company of friends—playing golf in the summer months and hitting the lanes in a bowling league during the winter. She was also the family historian, beautifully preserving cherished memories through her handmade scrapbooks.

Brenda’s life was deeply rooted in her faith, which guided her daily walk, and she was a devoted attendee of Sacred Heart in Auburn Hills.

Her massive heart also extended completely to animals. Over the last 35 years, her home was a sanctuary for multiple beloved dogs and cats, a legacy of love represented by the peaceful pet cemetery she tenderly kept in her backyard. In her final years, her days were brightened by her latest love, her devoted dog, Charlie Boy.

Above all, Brenda was defined by her love for her family, her beautiful smile, and a contagious laugh that could light up any room.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Randy Shetterley; her beloved children, Nathan (Sandra) Shetterley and Noelle (Ryan) Wood; her cherished grandsons, Henry and Rhodes; and her faithful companion, Charlie Boy.

Visitation will be held at Pixley Funeral Home, 3530 Auburn Road, Auburn Hills, MI 48326, US, on July 19, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 3400 S Adams Rd, Auburn Hills, MI 48326, US, on July 20, 2026, at 11:00 am
