Debra F. Chase

CHASE, Debra (Debbie) F., 69, passed away on January 5, 2017 unexpectedly after a medical emergency. Youngest daughter of the late Philip and Leona (Ankley) LaPointe. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, Chuck Chase (September 2016). Loving Mother to Diana (Robert) Baker and David (Shannon) Chase. Dear sister to Laurel LaPointe of Prudenville, MI and the late David LaPointe, sister-in-law to Karl and Linda Chase and the late Karen and Steven Smith. Doting Grandmother to Erica (Frank) Baker-Davoli, Sarah Baker, Devin an Alyssa Chase. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday, January 13, 2017 from 4-7:30 PM with a Funeral Service at 7:30 PM at Pixley Funeral Home, 3530 Auburn Rd., Auburn Hills, MI.

Debbie grew up in Ferndale, MI. She was a stay at home Mom for many years and helped support/care for her family working retail sales before retiring from a career in medical billing. She took her greatest pleasures from her family, especially her Grandchildren. She loved gardening, collecting and crocheting. Every new addition to a friend or family members home be it a wedding or a baby, received at least one hand made blanket. In her younger years she bowled in doubles leagues with Chuck and loved playing cards. She was an avid NASCAR and sports fan by proxy thanks to Chuck's love of all things sports related. Her flower gardens were enjoyed by the whole neighborhood.
