Delores Emaline (Rash) Swartz, 93, of Auburn Hills, passed away Wednesday November 1, 2017. She was born on September 3, 1924 in Pontiac Michigan. Delores graduated from Auburn Heights High School in 1942 and married L.D. Swartz in Pontiac on July 31st, 1945 while L.D. was on leave from WWII.
Delores proudly raised and nurtured five children: Leroy (Anna) Swartz, Joyce (Richard) Smith, Gary (Regina) Swartz, Susan (William) Merriman, and Rick (April) Swartz. She leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband L.D and her parents Asa and Susie (Sumner) Rash.
Delores was the last surviving member of her generation in the entire family. She was a longtime member of Auburn Hills Presbyterian Church.
Delores’s family will welcome friends for a visitation on Sunday November 5th, 2017 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 West University Drive in downtown Rochester and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at Auburn Hills Presbyterian Church, 3456 Primary Street in Auburn Hills Michigan. Memorial contributions may be made in Delores’s honor to the Church
