Donna Jean Heiss

Donna Jean Hurlburt Heiss, passed away at home with her husband of 61 years by her side; she was born July 7, 1928 in Ravenna, Ohio to Sage Guy Hurlburt and Ona Priscilla Bower; graduated from Bohecker’s Business College in 1950 and worked for Eaton in Cleveland, Ohio. Loving wife of Neil, whom she married on June 1, 1952; loving mother of Holly (Gerald Clark) Heiss of Birmingham, MI, Eric (Cassie) Heiss of Grand Rapids, MI and Drew (Maura) Heiss of Beloit, WI; Loving grandmother of Evan (Rachel), Nash, Sage, Adam, Britta, Dietrich, Siobhan, Gabrielle and Gloria.; preceded in death by her parents and her brother. Donna lived in Wickliffe, OH and Winter Park, FL before moving to Rochester Hills in 2008; she was a Charter member of Lakeland Community College in OH, a member of the League of Women Voters, and the First United Methodist Church in Winter Park, FL. Donna enjoyed watching all sports, especially the Cleveland Indians, and became a Detroit Tigers fan in recent years. There will be a private family celebration of life.
