Dorothy Jane Fisher, age 77, of Auburn Hills, Michigan passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025. Dorothy was born in Linden, North Carolina to Robert and Esther Blackman on June 4, 1948. She married her beloved husband Thomas Edward Fisher and together they built their lives, only separating at his passing after spending just shy of 50 years together. She found joy and fulfillment in caring for her loved ones and choose to take on the position of homemaker for her family. As a woman of faith, she was a long time member of the United Faith General Baptist Church in Pontiac, Michigan. Dorothy lived an active life but when she had a moment to relax she enjoyed reading, dancing, singing, and having her friends over to play board games. In 2017 she moved into the American House in Rochester where she made many friends.
Dorothy is survived by her sons Mike Fisher (Jennifer) and Jeff Fisher (Darla); her grandchildren Michael Fisher (Carley), Michelle Petker, Samantha Shaffer; her great grandchildren Chase and Aubrey Petker; and her sisters Willa Norris and Reba Blanchard;
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Edward Fisher; her sister Francis Jackson and her brother Lloyd Blackman.
