

WILLIAMSON, Dorothy A., age 95, a long time resident of Auburn Heights and a faithful member of Auburn Hills First Free Methodist Church, died May 7. 2013. Born in Flint but raised in Yale, MI, she was employed as a bus driver for many years with the Avondale School System. Along with her late husband, she made four church sponsored mission trips to Haiti. Beloved wife of the late Perry Williamson (d. 1997) the late Edwin Armstead (d. 1974). Beloved mother of Evans (Marilyn) Armstead, Eunice (the late Darwin) Hansen and the late Lois Armstead. Step-mother of Elaine Williamson and Norma (Arthur) Maemdel. Grandmother of Mark, Alfred, David, Michael, Sherri and Jennifer. Also surviving are her ten great-grandchildren and her sister, Le Etta D’Arcy. She was preceded in death by her siblings Wallace (Ruby) Hazzard, Donna (Bill) Watson, Bernita (Lloyd) Hall and Verdella (Bill) Clark and Lottie Mae Hazzard. Funeral Service 1:00 p.m. Saturday at PIXLEY FUNERAL HOME, 3530 Auburn Road in Auburn Hills. The family will receive friends on Friday at the funeral home from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. The family would greatly appreciate that memorial contributions in Dorothy’s name be directed to F.O.H.O.
