She was one of my best friends. She was a beautiful person inside and out! I love you Eve!!!

Wow It’s just been over a year since God called Eva home!
I worked with Eva on the pediatric unit my whole nursing career. She worked days and I mostly worked nights. She always greeted me with a huge smile and of course called me “honeybun”. I miss that great big beautiful smile !
Eva never had a negative comment about anyone. Her heart was a heart of gold.  Willing to help anyone with whatever help they needed. 
Eva finally got to meet my son who God  called home to heaven earlier this year. I can just see her with that great big beautiful smile greeting Andrew  when he was called home and saying to him: “ welcome home Honeybun”
Eva will forever be in my heart and never forgotten.! ❤️

Even though I only knew Eva for a few years,  it was a pleasure giving her shift change report. She always had a smile on her face and a soft spoken voice which made you feel welcome. Her heart was kind and compassionate. She is missed by all who knew her. 

I will always miss your smiling face and open warmth when we would work together on the Peds unit starting in 1997. You were our 'super IV starter ' when we couldn't get it.  You had the magic touch !!!  Eva your warm and generous nature always brought a smile to those you encountered.  I also remember the exclamation word 'Dang' as your go to word to describe something crazy, and we would laugh right along with you . You will be missed greatly.  You have left a special memory on my heart.  God Bless you and Douglas and your family.

I first met Eva in Oct of 2001, when I started at Beaumont.  I knew right away she was such a kind soul! As I grew to know Eva over the 15 years of working with her, I couldn't help but love her! Eva was such a soft spoken, kind hearted person.  She was easy to work with, she was a wonderful, patient teacher... She will be missed greatly by many.

Worked with Eva for many years on Pediatrics. She was kind, she was professional and she was always smiling.  She was also a fantastic cook, loved her egg rolls and her noodle dish. RiP dear friend, I will always think of you and smile.❤

Eva, I miss working on the Peds floor with you. I will always remember how you called us all "honeybuns" and how you called me "Jen Jen".  You loved to share your delicious banana/plaintain chips and light cakes. And you always carried around your child-size tourniquet. You will be greatly missed my friend. Rest in peace.  Sending love and prayers to you and your family.

We started on Pediatrics together in 1985
You were a wonderful nurse and very loved by the children, their families and by ya your coworkers.
You were a beautiful generous person.
You hosted coworkers showers at your house.
You embraced everyone calling them honeybuns ❤️
You made big batches of banana chips and light cakes and shared them with everyone.
I remember your heartache when you couldn’t carry a pregnancy.  Through your pain you continued to show love to everyone.
I cherish the pearl bracelet you gave me at your retirement party from Pediatrics.
I love that we shared our faith in God.
There’s no doubt in my mind that you are one of our Lord’s most beautiful angels 👼🏻

Dear Eva, You are missed so much by me. I will miss you saying “so big” to the toddlers in peds oncology, I will miss being called honey bun, I will miss the special angel heart cakes you made for me, I will miss the delicious banana chips, I will miss sharing our birthday on July 18th, I will miss someone having the same religious necklace, I will miss the stories of all of the amazing deeds you and your husband Douglas did for so many others here and in the Philippines, I will miss listening to your travel journeys, I will miss our conversations at work in pediatrics and NICU for the last 19 years. I am grateful to call you my friend and coworker. My heart goes out to your husband Douglas and your family and friends. May God bless you, and rest in peace 💒🏥🩺✝️💜 👩🏽‍⚕️  😇🙏❤️🙏🦀
