

Frank Philip Skotzke, 97, of Oscoda Michigan, passed away on October 12, 2017. Frank was the loving husband of Francis Skotzke; dear father of Greg (Susan) Skotzke, Kurt Skotzke, and James (Carol) Skotzke; cherished grandfather of Keith, Amanda, Jeffrey and Janet, and great-grandfather of Ahlivia; caring brother of Genivieve (late Michael) Hyder, Rose Marie Skotzke; and brother-in-law to Mary Jane and Connie Skotzke. Frank was predeceased by his siblings Chester (late Mary), Leonard, George, and Virginia Skotzke.
Frank was born the son of Frank and Martha Skotzke in Detroit Michigan on November 8, 1919. He graduated from Burroughs High School and earned his bachelor’s degree from Walsh College. Frank served in Army 7th armored division under General Patton in WWII and fought in the battle of the bulge. He served for 20 years in the National Guard and later had a career as chief deputy register of deeds for Oakland County. Frank was a member of the Royal Oak VFW and American Legion. He was known by for his dry, funny sense of humor.
Franks’ family will welcome friends for a visitation on Wednesday October 18th from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home 3530 Auburn Road in Auburn Hills.
