Gail Wynne Brown

Gail was born to Milton O. Cross Jr. and Genevieve C. Cross on March 20, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan, but spent most of her childhood in Grosse Pointe. Gail attended Olivet College, where she met the love of her life, William Max Brown, and the two were married on August 20, 1966.

Gail was an extremely dedicated mother, and spent most of her life as a homemaker. She also spent time as a party planner. Gail loved to garden, and had a passion for photography and music. She also loved spending time with her family around the holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas. Above all, she loved being a grandmother "Nani" to her granddaughter Brinley.

Gail is survived by her children: Kimberly Forbes (George), and Derek Brown (Jennifer), her granddaughter Brinley Brown, and her brother Terry Cross (Kimberly A. Cross).

She is preceded in death by her devoted husband William Max Brown, and parents Milton O. Cross Jr. and Genevieve C. Cross.

A memorial visitation for Gail will be held Friday, May 16, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Pixley Funeral Home, 3530 Auburn Rd., Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326, followed by a memorial service at 5:00 PM.

Gail will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery, in Detroit, Michigan.
