With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we announce the unexpected passing of Geraldine Claudia Pinnock, who left us far too soon on April 27, 2025, at the age of 38. Born in Costa Rica on November 1, 1986, Geraldine lived a life full of love, generosity, and vibrant energy that touched all who knew her.
Geraldine was the beloved wife of Ronnie Pinnock, her partner in life and love. They were married on July 29, 2015, and together they built not only a beautiful family but also their dream business—Pura Vida, a restaurant that became a symbol of their shared vision, hard work, and cultural pride. Geraldine poured her heart into it, and it became a place where her warmth and passion could be felt by everyone who walked through the doors.
She was known for her tireless spirit, always busy, always helping, and always doing it with a smile. Geraldine had a heart of gold—big enough to love fiercely and freely. She was intelligent, outgoing, and full of life. She loved to dress up, go out, and dance the night away, bringing joy and laughter wherever she went.
Geraldine is survived by her loving husband, Ronnie Pinnock; her children, Kaleishka Cortes and Keydell Cortes; her cherished stepchildren, Ronnie Pinnock Jr., Ramsey Pinnock, and Raylen Pinnock; her beloved grandson Kayden Cortes.
She also leaves behind her devoted parents, María Miranda and Jesús Cortés; her siblings: María José Ramos Ramos, Maumar Mata, Mauricio Mata, and Pamela Mata; and her nephew Sobrino Keymar Evans.
A visitation for Geraldine will be held Friday, May 2, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Pixley Funeral Home, 3530 Auburn Road, Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326. A funeral service will occur Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Betel Casa Apostolica, 1608 N. Perry Street, Pontiac, Michigan 48340.
