Beloved husband of Catherine; dear father of the late John (Gloria) Schatz; caring grandfather of John (Viktoriya) Schatz and Jill (Sean) Flatter; great-grandfather of Brigette, Riley, Logan, Christian, Tristan, and Danielle; and brother of Christine Schaeffer, the late Wanda Miller, and Beverly (Robert) Lutz.
Grover was born the son of John and Saddie (Jackobs) Schatz in Arab Missouri on May 27, 1923. He graduated from Pontiac Central High School and married Catherine Felice on April 11th, 1942. Grover served in the Army during WWII. He worked for General Motors for many years.
Grover was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He had a passion for woodworking, hunting and especially his family.
Instate Friday January 19, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. until the time of funeral mass at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 3400 S. Adams Rd. in Auburn Hills MI. Interment to follow at White Chapel Cemetery.
