Jim was born to James and Nancy Dunne, on May 1, 1960, in Buffalo, New York. Jim attended Clarence High School and then went on to further his education at Bryant and Stratton College, in Buffalo. Jim had a career in computer programming, working for companies such as Ryder and OE Systems. Jim married Cathy Meyer, on April 12, 1980.
Jim had a passion for reading, music, tobacco pipes, and dogs; he even had a custom-made tobacco pipe carved into the shape of an English bulldog.
Jim is survived by his son: Michael Dunne, former spouse; Cathy Greenlaw, cousins; Richard, Kim, Nancy, Tom, Christine, Shawn, Dominic, and Riley.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Parkinson's Foundation and The American Kidney Association.
A memorial visitation for Jim will be held on Friday February 21, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Saturday February 22, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with a memorial service beginning at 1:00 PM, located at Pixley Funeral Home, in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
