

JoAnne Mary Miracle (nee Banks), age 88, of Auburn Hills, Michigan passed away on Friday, November 4, 2022. She was born in Pontiac, Michigan on August 31, 1934. JoAnne graduated from Pontiac Central High School. She was married to the late, Fred Miracle on February 11, 1956.
JoAnne had a passion for her flower gardens and plants. She looked forward to planting each Spring. Her cooking abilities were unmatched and her recipes, especially her pancake recipe, are legendary. Having coffee on her deck and visiting with family, friends and neighbors was something she did often and loved very much. JoAnne loved her home and lived on Bessie Street for nearly 60 years. She especially loved having her sister and best friend, Virginia, just down the street. JoAnne was a longtime employee of the Avondale School District and enjoyed being the "lunch lady."
JoAnne is survived by her children, Susan (Louis) Alexander, Sandra (Louis) McGuinness, Tim Miracle, Sarah Garrick, Jill (Steve) Schwerin, Patsy Brady, and Judy Pittman; her 12 grandchildren; and her 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Dawn Miracle; and her siblings, Robert Banks, Betty Millard, Virginia Wilder, Thomas Banks, and Walter Banks.
A visitation for JoAnne will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 from 2-8 PM at Pixley Funeral Home, 3530 Auburn Rd., Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326. A funeral service will occur on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 11 AM, with gathering beginning at 10 AM, at Pixley Funeral Home in Auburn Hills. JoAnne will be laid to rest at White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery in Troy, Michigan.
