MACHOWSKI, Lillian M., age 83, of Clarkston, January 15, 2013; born in Mayfield, PA to Walter and Anna Kumash; wife of the late Edward; loving mother of Thomas (Bonnie) Machowski and the late Marsha Machowski; grandmother of Ryan & Scott; sister of Joan Lupan and the late Florence Dombrowski; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Lillian was an advocate for Developmental Disabled Adults for over 40 years; Past Vice-President of Wing Lake Parent Group; Past Vice-President of Montgomery (Now Kingsley-Montgomery) Parent Group; at Large Delegate of OCRICC; member of CAC; Monitoring & Mystery Shopper for OCCMH Authority. In 1982, Lillian, her husband and several others founded Post 26, which is now New Gateways, Inc., where Lillian served on various committees and was a member of the Board of Directors; she was also a member of Angels Guardians at Angels Place. Visitation Thursday 3-8 p.m. and Friday 2-8 p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, 3530 Auburn Rd., Auburn Hills; Funeral service Saturday 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
