Lucy graduated from Eastern High School in Detroit, Michigan. Not shortly after, she met her husband, Adolph, at Harper Bakery a polish bakery.
She married her beloved husband, Adolph Stefanowski, on July 18th, 1953, and they spent 70 wonderful years together until her passing. Lucy had a career as a secretary for Amplex in Detroit before taking on the rewarding role of home maker and mother.
She was a devout Catholic and attended St. Andrews Catholic Church, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, and was a member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. Lucy attended gatherings with the women's club Red Hat Society and enjoyed taking swim classes at Troy Community Center. She was never a bystander, she always wanted to be involved and did so with incredible optimism.
In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, reading, lunch with friends, and spending time with her family whom she loved. Lucy also loved her many pets such as Twinkie the terrier, her dog Clover, her green parakeet named Penny, Clyde the Mynah bird, and her cats Tiger, Piewacket, Fluff, Pumpkin, Lucky, and Max/Maxine.
