Marietta Elizabeth Boehmer

Marietta Elizabeth Boehmer, Age 88, a life-long resident of Auburn Hills, died January 19, 2019. Marietta was born on September 21, 1930, daughter of the late George & Alice Wilson. She graduated from Avondale High School in 1948 and attended the Pontiac Business Institute. On August 19, 1950, Marietta married John Boehmer and they enjoyed 54 years of marriage until John’s passing in 2004. She was the Office Manager for the Rochester Area Youth Assistance for 30 years and retired in 2001. Marietta was lifetime member of Auburn Hills Presbyterian Church where she served as Sunday School Superintendent, Teacher, and a Deacon. She is survived by: her children Kathleen (Al) Hearne, John (Cathy Morris) Boehmer, and Paul Boehmer; grandchildren Kristin (Anthony Restaino) Boehmner, Melissa (Matthew) Chambers, Susan (Tom) Bellisario, and Adam Hearne; great grandchildren Gage McCrimmon, Tyler Chambers, August Restaino, and Thomas Bellisario; a sister Joyce (Roger) Crabtree and sister in law Joy Karsten. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Marietta was preceded in death by a brother, James Wilson, and her grandson Philip Hearne. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Pixley Funeral Home, 3530 Auburn Road, Auburn Hills. Rev. Mark Pretzno officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Interment at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Rochester Area Youth Assistance.
