Marvin was born the son of Emory and Earle (Horne) Clark in Pardee, Virginia on March 16, 1943. He moved to Michigan in 1962 to begin his career with General Motors. Marvin married Beverly Payne on March 6, 1965 in Keego Harbor, Michigan and they raised their family in Auburn Heights. Marvin retired after 35 years of service at GM. He was a member of the Oakland County Sportsman’s Club
Marvin loved to golf. He enjoyed traveling with Beverly, especially to gather information for his work on the family’s genealogy. He was a collector of hats and knives.
Marvin was predeceased by his wife Beverly. He was survived by his daughters Tammy (Carl) Racher, Amy Nottley, and Carri Sutton; grandchildren Dylan, Noah, Jourdon, Haleigh, Conner (Haley), and Nina; great-grandson Connor Jr.; brother Ron (Carol) Clark; niece Debbie Clark; and nephew Tim (Stephanie) Horne. He was also predeceased by siblings Junior Clark, Janice Davis, and Bill Horne.
Marvin’s family will welcome all to a visitation on Monday August 7th, 2023 from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. (noon) at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 3530 Auburn Road in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Interment will be follow at Perry Mount Park Cemetery in Pontiac, Michigan.
