

Pearl J. Lockamy of Auburn Hills, Michigan passed away on February 6, 2017 in Cedarville, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Shelby E. Lockamy. Pearl and Shelby were the loving parents of Shelby J. Wagner (Robert) of Parrottsville, TN, Jerry E. Lockamy (Brenda) of Larkspur, CO and June K Davis (Michael) of Cedarville, MI.
Pearl was the grandmother of Christy Cloud of Cedarville, MI, Robin Kubasiak (Scot) of Bronson, MI, Jeff Davis (Julie) of Hessel, MI, David Wagner (Thais) of Henderson, N.C. and Erin Lockamy of Larkspur, CO. Pearl was ‘Grandma Great’ of Alyssa Cloud, Benjamin and Samantha Davis, Luke Kubasiak and Owen Wagner.
Pearl was the loving daughter of Claude and Hettie Simpson, and sister of Hubert Simpson, deceased (Nona, deceased) of Batesville, AR, Maca (Betty) Daniel (Jim, deceased) of Spokane, WA, Marie Hix (Charley) of Batesville, AR, Bertha Rounds (Charles, deceased) of Gainsborough, AR and Gene Simpson (Patsy) of Gainsborough, AR. There are many nieces and nephews who called her, ‘Aunt Pearl’.
Music has always been important to Pearl. She was always humming or singing a song as she worked. She proudly sang in the Chancel Choir at Auburn Hills Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. She was probably the longest recorded member of the choir. Pearl was an active member of the women’s association, served as a Deacon, and helped with Vacation Bible School. She was a Den Mother for Cub Scouts. In later years she became an avid collector of Depression Glass, vintage jewelry, dolls and books.
Relatives will be receiving friends at the Pixley Funeral Home, Davis Chapel, 3530 Auburn Road in Auburn Hills, MI on Thursday February 9, 2017 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm.
On Friday February 10, 2017, a Celebration of Life Service for Pearl will be held at Auburn Hills Presbyterian Church at 3456 Primary Street, Auburn Hills, MI. Interment at Christian Memorial Cemetery, 521 E. Hamlin, Rochester Hills, will immediately follow the service.
