Robert was born in Royal Oak, Michigan on January 17, 1958. He married Donnette Faris and raised their two girls in Auburn Hills, MI (later divorced). Robert had a career as a mechanical engineer/machine builder and was also a shop foreman, leader, and field service technician. He worked for Auto/Con for 23 years and several years at Paslin before moving to Bowling Green where he planned to retire at BGM - Magna.
Robert enjoyed playing the guitar, snowmobiling, riding four wheelers, being outdoors, and was a handyman. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
Robert is survived by his daughters Monica Glover and Dawn (Bill Shipe) Glover; grandchildren Samantha Grams, Alycea Shipe, and Tristin Dommer; Siblings Theresa Champion and Deborah Pemperton. Robert was predeceased by his mother Norma Jean Austin and his brother Jimmy Glover.
A celebration of life will be held on 7/23/22 at Independence Oaks in Clarkston, MI at the Pine Grove pavilion from 1 PM - 7 PM. Memorial contributions may be made in Robert’s name to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital online at www.stjude.org.
