Sandra Kay Otzenberger

Sandra Kay Otzenberger, age 72 passed away on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. She was born in Auburn Hills, MI on January 28, 1953. Sandra loved Auburn Hills, she was a proud graduate of Avondale High School and chose to stay in town to raise her family. She married William Otzenberger on February 15, 1974 at Auburn Hills Presbyterian. Driven by a desire to care for the children of her community, Sandra supervised many cafeterias for Avondale school district. Even during the summer, she chose to spend her time supporting the children at the Salvation Army Summer Camp. While Sandra loved her hometown, she still found enjoyment in traveling and going sightseeing; but, she didn't despair when it was time to go home as her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. At her core, she loved caring for everyone and never hesitated to come to anyone's aid.

Sandra is survived by her husband, William Otzenberger; her children Dawn Hart, Robert Otzenberger (Marie), Rebecca Garrison (Andre), Heather Leyva (Joseph), and Rachel Otzenberger; her grandchildren Toinette (Efrain), Mitchell (Holly), Tyler, Riley, Madison, Craig, Wynsong (AJ), Andre, Christopher, Skyelyn, Dillon, Christopher, Anthony, Alexander, Sontino, Miguel, Liliana, Owen, and Evan; 10 Great-Grandchildren; and her all of her Avondale kids.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Helen Hart, daughter Stacy Otzenberger, and her brother Harry Hart.

A visitation for Sandra will be held Tuesday, July 22, 2025 from 3PM to 5PM with an hour break before continuing from 6PM to 8PM at Pixley Funeral Home, 3530 Auburn Rd., Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326. A Memory Share will be held at 7PM.
