Sharon Kay Moran

Sharon Moran, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away surrounded by family on November 19, 2023, at the age of 80. Her death follows that of her late husband Pat with whom she shared 42 loving years. Sharon is survived by her daughters Jennifer Byrne (John), Amy Bonggren (Andy), son Steven Jarrett (Monica). Not only a proud mother, she was a committed and loving grandmother to Christian, Michael, James and Kathryn Byrne, Nicholas and Matthew Bonggren, and Samantha and Madison Jarrett. Sharon was a dear sister to Robert Moore (late Jane) and the late Priscilla Moore Smith. The daughter of Kenneth and Sophie Moore, Sharon was born in Detroit on October 4, 1943. Sharon, a constant fixture at her grandchildren’s sporting events, musicals, and school activities leaves behind a legacy of devoted support and cherished moments. Her unwavering presence will be deeply missed by those who felt the warmth of her encouragement. Sharon’s friendships were the cornerstone of her life. Sharon considered her lifelong friends to be family. Whether it was golfing or spending time at the movies and happy hour, Sharon had countless memories and laughs with her friends she held dear to her heart.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 21, from 2-7 PM at Pixley Funeral Home, 3530 Auburn Rd, in Auburn Hills, MI. The funeral mass will be held Wednesday, November 22, at 10 AM at Holy Name Catholic Church, 630 Harmon St, in Birmingham, MI. Visitation at the church on Wednesday begins at 9:30 AM.
